Bio & About:

Mohammad Mahdi was born in Qom, Iran, in 1997. He has commenced microcontroller programming since primary school, then pursued robotics since guidance school (in Shahid Qoddusi-NODET). By starting high school, he succeeded in Instrumentation followed by AI. Then he performed his undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering (Control Branch) at Shahed University where he fulfilled his thesis on RL. Presently he is pursuing his M.Sc. in Control Engineering at K.N. Toosi University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. Applied science has always been his passion in every sense of the word.

Controlling an Inverted Pendulum by Reinforcement Learning and Simulating in OpenAI and ROS
Dec 2019 – Jun 2020
Project description: It has been chosen for the bachelor thesis of the university to attain rudimentary apprehension of reinforcement learning. For the simulation in python, CartPole-v0 of OpenAI was selected. For simulating in ROS, an online ROSject was found beneficial.
Assessing Alertness by Analysis of Brainwaves With Artificial Neural Network

Project description: In this project, some factors from alpha brainwave and eye signals were given to an artificial neural network to estimate the level of alertness.
The EEG device was designed and implemented based on op-amps (without the utilization of relevant convenient modules) and implementation accommodated:
1. Utilization of some bioelectric gels and electrodes containing: Golden Electrode, Ten20 and Nuprep gel
2. Data acquisition with few external ADCs such as AD7190 & AD7191
3. Active and passive filters
4. Body noise canceling circuit (Bias)
