Bio & CV | Website

My name is Mohammad Vaziri, born in 2000 in Tehran. I completed all my school grades at Alavi School. In 2019, after excelling in the nationwide university exam and securing a rank in the top 0.15%, I began my bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering at the University of Tehran (UT), with a focus on Control Engineering. In the fall of 2022, I attended several sessions on Machine Learning and became captivated by the wonders of Deep Learning and Neural Networks. This newfound interest prompted me to apply to ARAS in November 2022, where I was accepted. Here, I delved into computer vision and joined the AI and VR in the Medical Robotics group, contributing to the development of the ARAS_CaSe (ARAS Capsulorhexis Segmentation) dataset. Currently, in the final semester of my bachelor’s study, I’m dedicating my time to a thesis titled ‘Cataract Surgery Video Segmentation with the Goal of Analyzing Surgical Instrument Movement Skills’. My primary research interests are computer vision, V&L (the intersection of computer vision and natural language processing), and image-guided healthcare.
