Shima Naseri was born in 1999 in Tehran, Iran’s capital. She was passionate about robotics, took part in SharifCup2015 and IranOpen2015, and won awards in light and heavy-weight junior soccer leagues. She became a B.Sc. student in Electrical and Control engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) to pursue her dream. During her undergraduate studies, she developed an interest in Medical Engineering and presented her thesis on “Magnetic Resonance Tractography Analysis for Assessment of Normal Cervical Spinal Cord”. She graduated in 2021 and began her Master’s program at K. Toosi University of Technology the following year, under the guidance of Prof. Taghirad. She is now an active member of ARAS, working on Keratoconus detection in the ARAS-Farabi AI and VR in Medical Robotics group. Her primary areas of interest include medical imaging, data science, and artificial intelligence.
